Habitat marine.        
Water Salt water
Habitat Notes Occurs in clear seaward reef slopes (Ref. 9710). Found singly or in pairs (Ref. 9710). Feeds on algal film on bare rocks (Ref. 9710). Juveniles found in shallow protected reefs, usually between soft coral (Ref. 9710).
