It is commonly known as Black-velvet angelfish but has many other common names such as Brown angelfish in USA, Kiheri-kinchakudai in Japan, Black velvet angelfish in Papua New Guinea, Phantom Angelfish in South Africa, Black velvet angelfish in Micronesia, Federated States. more common names It is found in Salt water.
