Galeus boardmani was originally described as Pristiurus (Figaro) boardmani by Whitley in 1928. It belongs to the family Pentanchidae. It is commonly known as Australian sawtail catshark. It is found in Salt water and its distribution is Australia: southern Queensland to southern Australia and to Western Australia.
