Water   Fresh water
Habitat Notes   Occurs in areas with organic mud bottom (Ref. 4983). Is a bottom feeder which feeds mainly on the larval stages of dipterous insects together with diatoms derived from the bottom mud. Remains of molluscs and fragments of bivalves and gastropods were also found in the stomach and intestines of specimens which were examined (Ref. 558).
Depth Range   From 3 to 27 meters.
