It is commonly known as Longspine spinefish but has many other common names such as in Australia as Common bellowsfish, in USA (contiguous states) as longspine snipefish, in Japan as Sagifue, in South Africa as Slender snipefish, in South Africa as Slank snipvis, in Mozambique as Trombeteiro comum. more common names It is found in Salt water and its distribution is Circumglobal (especially in temperate latitudes), including Mediterranean Sea and Hawaiian Ridge.
