It is commonly known as Onestick stingfish but has many other common names such as Yellowfin stingfish in Australia, Onestick stingfish in USA (contiguous states), Scarlet stinger in Papua New Guinea, Eenstok-steekvis in South Africa, Eenstok-steekvis in Sodwana, Onestick stingfish in Sodwana. more common names It is found in Salt water and its distribution is Red Sea and Indo-West Pacific: South Africa east to East Indies, Thailand and Taiwan.
