Neosebastes entaxis was originally described as Neosebastes entaxis by Jordan & Starks in 1904. It belongs to the family Scorpaenidae and subfamily Neosebastinae. It is commonly known as Orange-banded scorpionfish and is known in Australia as Orange scorpion fish, in Japan as Hirenagakasago. more common names It is found in Salt water and its distribution is Western Pacific: Taiwan, Japan, Sulawesi.
