It is commonly known as Double whiptail but has many other common names such as Purple threadfin in Australia, Whip-tailed threadfin-bream in Papua New Guinea, Silay in Philippines, Anjang-anjang in Malaysia, Double whiptail in Micronesia, Federated States. more common names It is found in Salt water.
