Habitat Marine.        
Water Salt water
Habitat Notes A common inhabitant of both inshore and offshore areas (Ref. 2850, 6885). Found on rocky as well as soft bottom (Ref. 2850). Edible but not esteemed (Ref. 2850).
Depth Range From 25 to 425 meters.
