Habitat Notes   Its habits are probably similar to those of the phylogenetically closely related @S. sphyraena@ (Ref. 6949). Feeds on cephalopds and crustaceans. Caught in trammel nets and beach seines (Ref. 11101).
Distribution   Mediterranean Sea, eastern Atlantic: Azores, Madeira, Canary Islands, possibly more widespread.
