Habitat demersal        
Water Salt water
Habitat Notes Observed to hover 1 to 4 cm above the entrance of its burrow, in sand or sand and rubble substrate. Usually seen in pairs with alpheid shrimps.
Depth Range From 3 to 45 meters.
   
Distribution Western Pacific: East Indian region to Palau, to Philippines, Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands.
