Habitat marine.        
Water Salt water
Habitat Notes Inhabits lagoons and deeper waters of coral reefs and adjacent sandy bottoms. Feeds mainly on fishes but also on mollusks, crustaceans, and sea urchins (Ref. 1602). Marketed fresh (Ref. 171).
