Habitat Notes White-edged lyretail.
Attains 60 cm. ( fork length ) Zanzibar, Mafia Island, Madagascar, Mascarenes, Chagos and Western Pacific. A coral-reef species less common than V. louti; found in depths of 5 -100 metres. Attains 60 cm. ( fork length ) Zanzibar, Mafia Island, Madagascar, Mascarenes, Chagos and Western Pacific. A coral-reef species less common than V. louti; found in depths of 40-100 metres. A genrally uncommon species that inhabits seaward reefs. Found in small groups. Feeds on fishes. Flesh tastes excellent.
Depth Range From 2 to 200 meters.
